The Management Team

James St. John III - President

James St. John III, is President of ResidenSea, Ltd, the management company behind The World, the first private residential resort community at sea, and consultants to luxury properties on both land and sea worldwide. Prior to his role, which began in early 2004, St. John worked with The World on a consulting basis and served as the managing director for the owner-residents.

St. John is a graduate of Texas A&M University and a Certified Hotel Administrator with more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He oversaw development and consulting services for hotels, resorts, and private clubs at Hospitality America, Inc. Specializing in management and consulting services, he has a successful history of senior executive roles with the Jupiter Island Club, one of the finest private clubs in America, where he served for six years as Chief Operating Officer; as well key posts at the Virgin Grand Beach Resort, the Stouffer Grand Beach Resort, the Mahogany Run Golf & Tennis Resort and The Lodge of the Four Seasons. He has also consulted with island properties in Barbados, Anguilla, and Puerto Rico. At the industry level, St. John has served as president of the St. Thomas/St. John Hotel Association, The Governor’s Tourism Policy Council (USVI) and as a member of the Tourism Development Council of Martin County, Florida.

A lifelong sailor, St. John served on the Board of the US Sailing Center of Martin County, where his volunteer responsibility is the development of high school sailing. The devoted family man and his wife of 22 years, Christine, make their home in Palm City, Florida. They have two children, a daughter Erin, and a son, Kyle.
